Recently opened in Shoreditch London is an absolutely awesome new look at your typical shopping locale. We are all familiar with pop-up shops but this idea by fashion guru Roger Wade of Boxfresh and real estate developers Hammerson and Ballymore is more of an entire pop-up mall. Built from shipping containers the project features small retail shops by several big hitters such as The North Face, Vans, and Nike as well as smaller retailers and food/art spots throughout. I truly think is the wave of the future in retail as you can have an essentially mobile alternative to the retail strip mall. I could see these being a huge hit at music festivals throughout the world as well as tourist destinations that are bigger certain times of the year like New Orleans for Mardi Gras or even areas of NYC for fashion week (though we all know NYC is always poppin).
