Worlds colliding! In news leaked earlier this year we heard talk of a collaboration between Jordan brand and Nike Skateboarding. This collaboration makes total sense since the Jordan 1 and very similar Nike Dunk High were being used by skaters 20 years before the incarnation of the SB division. This leaked pic popped up on n-sb.org and shows what appears to be a black and royal Jordan 1 with Nike SB tongue branding. Originally thought to be coming early this year, only time will tell what is to come from this highly anticipated collaboration. One thing we can predict with certainty is that these will sell quick!

Its no news to anyone that Nike has taken over the rights for NFL apparel from Reebok but that being said the news keeps getting better. After some previews last week information on a full 32 team themed sneaker release from Nike has hit the net today. This pack features a different model for each division in team themed colorways. There are some serious heaters in here with my personal favorites being the Detroit Lions Air Max 90 and the San Diego Chargers Air Trainer SC Highs. Pictured below is each division’s model and colorways. Per Nikestore twitter a link to these will be released at a random time this Sunday April 29th at the tail end of the NFL Draft. As a life long Bears fan this writer is a little disappointed in the Bears make up of the Air Max 90 but luckily NikeID also has dunk high and low options for all 32 teams as well. Plus, its still not puke green and yellow…….BEAR DOWN!

NFC NORTH (Air Max 90)

NFC SOUTH (Free TR3)

NFC EAST (Air Max 95)

NFC WEST (Free Haven 3.0)

AFC NORTH (Huarache Trainer)

AFC SOUTH (Dunk High and Low)

Filed away as my most anticipated Jordan of the summer Olympic season. Originally released in September of 2000 and worn by Ray Allen and Vin Baker in that year’s Olympic games the shoe features a red, white, and blue makeup that is a definite head turner. The color blocking that was reminiscent of the “Carmine” version of the same shoe features primarily navy front panels with a white overlay on the mid-foot and heel cup. The 2012 version has some slight changes from the original retro most notable on the black rather than white mid-sole. Personally I don’t mind the change but of course always prefer retros to be true to the original. These will return to Jordan retailers on 7/7 and are sure to sell out quick. Check out the images from KickzLab below and let the hype build!

Just in time for spring is a new Made in America drop from New Balance in the form of two m574 models. These models are a follow up to the American Tall Tales Pack that dropped last fall with a Paul Bunyan & Babe the Blue Ox set of colorways. This pair features Johnny Appleseed and John Henry inspirations. The John Henry pair features premium black and grey suede inspired by the steel driven in the railways by John Henry in the tales. Sitting on top of a white midsole & black outsole this is a simple colorway but a hit none the less. The brighter of the two is the Johnny Appleseed inspired pair. Also premium suede sitting on a white these 574s are a plush burgundy color with hits of red similar to the variations on an apple. The real pop on this pair is the gum outsole that helped the Paul Bunyan pair pop so well. These are hitting retailers now and the Johnny Appleseed pair is available for phone orders at Milwaukee’s Moda3. These are definitely on my radar, are they on yours? Let me know below! (Shouts to Kickstures for the great shots!)

Rebranded. Played out. Lost its fire. Lots of negative phrases have been written about Nike Skateboarding lately but from the looks of recent previews they are inspired like they haven’t been in recent years. Another great Nike SB Dunk low has been previewed and its nothing to look past by any means. This dunk is a collaboration with the New York street/skate wear powerhouse Supreme and is a flip on one of the grails of all grails for Nike SB fans. Featuring iconic elephant print over a red base the dunk low will bring to mind the brand’s 2002 collaboration with the Nike SB which is also pictured below. Given the popularity of Supreme these could definitely reach camp out status when concrete release information is available.

Spring is in full force and with it all the retro runners come out in full force. This particular offering from Nike Sportswear is a step up from the normal Air Max 1 we are used to seeing. Featuring an all black upper of both premium leather and plush suede this one is an easy rock with some denim, khakis, or your favorite cargo shorts. What really sets them off is the hazelnut brown midsole and matching premium leather tongue tag and logo hit on the rear. A white swoosh and top eyelet complete the simple premium look. Tuxedos for the feet? Why not? We’ve been seeing these previewed for quite sometime but they are scheduled to release at NSW retailers soon.

Looks like Mr. Fieg is at it again. This time with a different brand. We all know Ronnie Fieg and his Kith locations for sick Asics releases like the Salmon Toes, Mint Leafs, Rose Golds, & Coves but based on this recent pic it looks like there is a new (sorta) brand on the horizon. Just moments ago Ronnie posted the following photo to his Instagram titled “Uh-oh spaghetti-O’s”. From the looks of it this is the early stages of Ronnie designing his own New Balance 999. This is a great model probably mostly remembered for last year’s Concepts “Kennedy” release. It has lots of different subtleties that are perfect for customization and premium materials the Kith owner is known for with his designs. Ronnie isn’t a stranger to New Balance as he celebrated the opening of Kith with a very limited run of instore only New Balance 574s that are also pictured below. Only time will tell what this release could or couldn’t be but I know I will be watching!

Dropping this week is a great collab from the New Balance Flimby handmade factory is a pair of 577s designed in collaboration with Stockholm’s Sneakers n Stuff and Milkcrate Athletics. While on the same model and featuring the same materials, the two shoes come from totally different sides of the design spectrum. The louder version of the two features Milkcrate’s bright colors and as he puts it “party animal” style. The pink, blue, yellow, and purple suede upper is topped off with a green new balance ‘N’ and white perforated leather on the toebox and ankle cuff. While not for this writer personally the shoes mish mash of colors surprisingly works on this model for some reason. The second model in the collab is a must for me. It features SNS more toned down design style that falls in line with both Europe retro runner style and New Balance’s style as well. Featuring a grey scale upper of the same premium suede the pack is tied together by the same perforated leather white toebox and ankle cuff. Both shoes include tonal rubber hangtags with Milkcrate/SNS branding and branded insoles as well. Check out the pics below as well as a video describing the inspiration for the collaboration. Available at a select retailers throughout the world you can picks yours up online Monday at Hanon.

FINALLY! After months of speculation, quick shots, rumors, and drooling we finally have detailed images of the Nike Air Yeezy 2 in the Wolf Grey colorway. Let me start by saying these shoes definitely live up to the hype times ten. Scheduled to release April 13th at select accounts (still waiting for confirmation from Beaverton) these are going to be THE drop of 2012. The details are endless and its hard to know where to start. An Egyptian Horus on the tongue is the centerpiece of sorts but the shoes also feature a very prominent snake theme. Add to that the 3M front portion, the tech challenge style midsole, hieroglyphics under the strap, and a detailed logo dust bag the ‘cray’ just keeps coming. I’m not a camper but I know I gotta get my hands (feet) on these! Check the pics below and let me know your thoughts.

All the hype on the Premier Nike SB Dunk Low for April has a lot of people talking about Nike SB again. While we’re on the topic today we take a look at a SB Dunk High that is also set to DROP in April. This Dunk is very reminiscent of the Plums that came out last summer but a little nicer to me. Featuring an upper of primarily Deep Burgundy suede these will go great with your favorite pair of denim and add a little pop. The leather quarter panel and toe boxes is done in a smooth plum leather and its capped off with a black swoosh and tongue tag for a little bit of contrast. All of this is sitting on top of a signature white midsole blending into a tonal black outsole. Premier actually has this DROP a little early for $95 + shipping so comment below and then head on over to grab your pair!
