In perfect timing for gift giving season the coveted Nike Air Force 1 Low and High have returned to NikeID in limited quantities. Some of the features available for customizing with this DROP are brushed wool outers and chenille swooshes. This shoe is an icon but one that has not fit into my personal style lexicon for years. That definitely didn’t stop me from giving my designing skills a go! Check out the DROP DSM rendition here and let’s see yours!

Air Jordan III Black Cement – Official Images
Posted: October 27, 2011 in UncategorizedTags: black friday, des moines, dropdsm, GOAT, jordan, jordan iii, sneakerhead, sneakers
Grails. Neck Breakers. Butta. Whatever you call them the Air Jordan III is a shoe of legendary status. The iconic elephant print. The visible air unit. The gorgeous tumbled leather. These kicks changed the game when they DROPPED back in 88 and have been snapping necks and topping best of lists ever since. The Jordan IIIs in Black/Cement have become synonymous with the GOAT himself. The triumphant return comes appropriately on Black “Cement” Friday 11/25/11 this year for the first time since 2001 which also happens to be the day after my birthday. I’m stoked, you’re stoked, what else can you say? If you are reading this blog you probably already knew about these kicks so here’s the official images to build the anticipation.

Nike Air Pegasus ’92 – Holiday 2011
Posted: October 23, 2011 in UncategorizedTags: des moines, dropdsm, holiday 2011, nicekicks, nike, nike air pegasus '92, sneakerhead, sneakers
Popping up over on NiceKicks today we see the upcoming colorways of the popular runner from Nike the Air Pegasus ‘92. This group of DROPs features a lot of outdoors inspired colorways and materials that just seem to be showing up everywhere right now. The first is a cream/blue/orange makeup that is obviously inspired by the popular Moab ACG colorway. Its the brightest of the 4 and will probably be the most successful DROP. I really enjoy the second shoe shown below in the brown/violet/copper makeup as I am always a sucker for purple hits on shoes. These will start making their way to retailers in the coming months. Head over to the NiceKicks link to see more pics. Which DROP will you COP?

My fit from Friday night’s dinner party with our friends Christopher and Leah. The Hundreds Thurston button up in teal/purple, WESC Marwin Raw Selvedge Denim in dark indigo, HUF Circle H Windbreaker black/blue, True Era fitted in grey wool/purple, & Nike Dunk High SB Unheaven’s Gate. (sorry for the blurry pic)

Nike Dunk High Deconstruct
Posted: October 21, 2011 in UncategorizedTags: des moines, dropdsm, nike, nike dunk high deconstruct, nsw, sneakerhead, sneakers
Today we take a look at a new DROP from Nike that in my opinion comes out of left field. Seen below is the Nike Dunk High Deconstruct. This is a new series from Nike that was also seen on the Air Force 1 and strips the shoe down to only its suede outer. The reason this DROP is so crazy to me is that Nike has always been a performance first company. All of their shoes outside of the lifestyle lines have always been “sport ready” so to speak. These suede kicks don’t appear to provide enough support for any type of sport but they do look like a perfect style compliment for a relaxed look. The tonal colorways and gum sole are a perfect pairing with the lightly structured suede. Adding details to these are the interior branding on the tongue and the Nike logo-ed aglets add some pop. Think any other models will pop up? Would be really interesting to see how this treatment works on some of the classic runners in the Nike catalog. Watch for these to DROP next summer and thanks to SneakerNews for the pics.
